Community Involvement

The team at Valorium Advisors are proud to support local businesses, families, and charities through community involvement.

Marika, Heidi, Natalie and Kylie are family-oriented, community-minded, and believe strongly in giving back. This community involvement sees the team donating to groups and organisations that have supported them in good times and when times were tough.

Marika’s connection to Red Nose Australia is a deeply personal one. Formerly known as SIDS & Kids, Red Nose Australia is the organisation bereaved people turn to for support following the loss of a child.

Marika donates both time and money to Red Nose Australia in recognition of the care and support it provided to her family following the loss of their first child. More than 3,000 babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers die unexpectedly every year in Australia. Marika and the team at Valorium Advisors are committed to helping the not-for-profit in its mission to deliver world-class research, life saving education and bereavement support services to help stop young lives being cut short.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW is another community organisation close to Marika’s heart, supporting her family during lengthy hospital stays while their daughter received much-needed medical treatment.

In May 2022 Marika’s involvement with Ronald McDonald House Charities extended to being appointed as a Board member for Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW.

Her strong involvement and commitment within the organisation for many years has guided her vision to join the Board and uphold their mission of supporting the ever-changing needs of seriously ill children and their families.

Caring for our clients and the community

At Valorium Advisors, we understand and value our strong community connections. It is these connections that have allowed us to grow and inspire others to do the same. As part of our commitment to the local community, we regularly dedicate time and money to Hunter charities such as:

Natalie’s personal battle with breast cancer prompted her to support the efforts of the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation; a locally based and founded non-profit organisation. They raise much needed funds to provide information and support for women and men diagnosed with, or being treated for breast cancer in the Hunter, and for their families.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer is Australia and breast cancer survivors like Natalie are committed to achieving a future without fear of the disease.

Heidi’s love of swimming saw her reach the upper echelons of the sport and culminated in her representing Australia. Hunter Swim Club was a source of significant support to Heidi in her competition days. Passionate about returning that support, she volunteers her time as Club Secretary and facilitated Valorium Advisors becoming a Race Day sponsor at Hunter Swim Club’s annual swimming carnival. In 2004 Heidi was honoured for her commitment being awarded Life Membership of the Club.

We encourage all our clients to consider the positive impact they can have on the community by giving back to the charities and organisations that have been there for their family and friends in times of need.

We would love it for you to join us in donating your time or money
to support one of these worthy and vital organisations.
